An important update about Wattle Park Chalet
On Saturday 12 September, fire damage has caused extensive damage to Wattle Park Chalet. Nobody was injured, and we are deeply grateful to the emergency services who attended including the Metropolitan Fire Brigade, Victoria Police and Parks Victoria staff.
The building is closed while the site is made safe and assessed. Regrettably, this means we are unable to host events at the Chalet for the time being.
If you have a booking with us, we will contact you directly over the coming days to discuss your event. You do not need to do anything in the meantime. If you would prefer to speak with us sooner, please email contact@wattleparkchalet.com.au and we will get back to you as quickly as we can.
If you are making a new enquiry, this is obviously quite a shock and we are unsure how long the remediation will take. Please send us your details and we will be in touch once we can confirm our plans.
The Chalet has been part of Wattle Park for 98 years, and it matters a great deal to many people. Our initial priority is to our staff and our existing bookings, and working with Parks Victoria on the remediation and recovery.

The Wattle Park Chalet offers a range of facilities suitable for celebrations, events and functions, and is a perfect venue for your wedding reception and other celebrations. Our flexibility to accommodate a variety of events, combined with the team’s dedication and commitment to our clients, ensures that you enjoy a great experience from first contact to the conclusion of the event.
The Chalet is surrounded by 137 acres of parkland and is approximately 220 square metres of function space in the Grand Hall and adjacent loggia areas. It also boasts mezzanine balconies and a landscaped private garden that is licensed until 1 am on Fridays and Saturdays and 11 pm on other days. Function areas are accessible by wheelchair.
We offer over 100+ car parking spaces while seating 40 to 250 guests, and up to 350 guests for stand-up cocktail style functions.
